Over the years, Kenner released a variety of action figure multipacks. These multipacks usually contained 3 figures, but some had as many as 15. Each one ranged in uses. Originally created as a means to entice buyers to purchase more figures, they later developed as a tool to help get rid of overstock. However, that transition was not a rapid one and as such, Kenner did end up producing some very aesthetically pleasing action figure sets.
